Florence Pirozzoli at 89 years of age--Kayaking the Chesapeake Bay

Florence Pirozzoli was excited to kayak the Chesapeake Bay at our new home in St. Michael's,MD. She visited us around the time of her birthday in October, and nothing could stop her from getting into a kayak and paddling on the Chesapeake, including a bad back! Nonethelss she was determined to go with her daughters, Mary Ellen and Lynn for a spin around St. Michael's Harbor to take in the sites, such as the Maritime Museum, Foxy's, The Crab and Steak, and the Crab Claw--to name a few of her favorites.

She paddled down the shoreline to take in the beauty of the Inn ant Perry's Cabin and a cove with two beautiful swans. Later, we stopped at the Harbour Inn for  a drink! What a great lady--and a real trooper. Kudos to my Mom!

Alex Pirozzoli Rides the Zip Line for his 89th Birthday

89 and on the Zip Line

The new adventure course at Skytop, PA is breath-taking. Not only is it well equipped with a cadre of courses, but its zip line offers an exhilarating ride, 70 feet above the treetops, which is enough to breathe new life into anyone.

My Dad, Alexander Pirozzoli took the plunge for his 89th birthday on 11-11-11! He is the oldest recorded visitor to take the challenge on the Skytop Adventure course Zip Line. When Alex was asked what he most enjoyed about the ride he said “the anticipation was worse than the ride.” Once he stepped off the platform and swung onto the wire, he was elated with a “great sense of accomplishment. “

Alexander Pirozzoli, former CEO and Owner of the Norwalk-Wilbert Vault Company of Bridgeport, CT resides in Trumbull, CT with his wife Florence, who recently kayaked the Chesapeake Bay in Saint Michael’s, MD. Both are 89 years of age.
